Why Bluebird exists
Built to share our favorite ski spots and people in the world
Bluebird started the way most good trips do, with a friend saying "you have to come ride this place, I know exactly who you should meet." Years of riding and returning to these mountains became the network behind every plan.
That network is the whole company now, arranged three ways: a trip you book yourself for $299, a house we run for a week, or a week we build around your own dates in Chile and Argentina. The mountains and the people are the same either way.

From Indiana to South America
Growing up in northern Indiana, I learned to ski at 3 years old at my aunt’s ski cabin in West Virginia every year over the holidays. I grew up in a competitive sports-family playing basketball and American football, later having played college football at DePauw University. After graduating from college, I started backpacking around Latin America while working remotely for a tech startup and from there began the journey of a traveling lifestyle.
I'm a “calculated risk-taker” not afraid of testing the boundaries of life and society in order to live unique experiences. For years I knew that there was a massive world beyond my hometown and that I needed to go out and explore it. Many years later and I am still as obsessed with seeing the world as when I started.
8+ years of backpacking in Latin America later, five of them living in Argentina between Bariloche and Buenos Aires, six months living in Guatemala and six months in a camper van riding out the pandemic across eleven national parks in the western US. My day job is Roamad Studio, my personal tech and creative studio where I work with tech startups providing strategy, consulting, and technical implementations.
The world is a big place filled with incredible people. My goal with Bluebird is to help you explore and connect with people through a shared love of riding on snow.
