We only plan where we have people

These are the mountains we ride, have lived, and the towns where our friendships and connections are real. If we don't have trusted people there, we don't recommend or plan there.

Our Home Base

Bariloche, Patagonia

Cerro Catedral — August & September. The destination we know best, and where our deepest connections live.

Trip Style: Ski + deep local culture with Spanish immersion, asado nights, and après that runs late.

Typical Itinerary: 7 nights in Bariloche with 5 ski days at/around Cerro Catedral (weather-dependent), 1 flex day for town/lake exploration, and after-ski social events with our local crew.

Flights / Routing
  • International arrival to Buenos Aires: EZE (Ezeiza).
  • Same-day transfer to AEP (Aeroparque) for the domestic flight to Bariloche (BRC) (≈2 hrs 20 min). Leave ample connection time for the airport transfer.
  • Return via BRC → AEP/EZE. (Seasonal/direct options may appear; we'll advise the best current routing.)
  • Ground: Private van from BRC to your lodging; daily shuttles to Cerro Catedral.
Visa Info
  • Many nationalities (e.g., US/EU) don't require a visa for short tourist stays in Argentina.
  • Rules vary by passport — verify with Argentina's Dirección Nacional de Migraciones before booking. Passport validity of 6+ months recommended by airlines.
Cultural Tips
  • Language: Spanish is primary; locals appreciate simple phrases (hola, por favor, gracias).
  • Dining hours: Dinner often 9–11 pm; late-night culture.
  • Mate etiquette: If offered, sip then pass back; don't move the bombilla.
  • Payments: Cards widely accepted; keep some pesos for small shops/transport.
  • Safety: Bariloche is generally calm — use typical city awareness.
Typical Food
  • Asado (beef cuts, chorizo, morcilla), Patagonian lamb, trout, provoleta, empanadas, milanesas.
  • Dulce de leche pastries, artisan chocolate, local craft beer and wines.
Packing List (Bariloche / Patagonia)
  • Ski/ride: All-mountain/powder setup (95–110mm skis or versatile board), helmet, low-light goggle lens, neck gaiter, spare gloves/socks.
  • Layers: Waterproof shell, insulated midlayer, base layers, warm hat, hand warmers.
  • Footwear: Waterproof winter boots with grip (icy streets).
  • Sun & skin: High-SPF sunscreen and lip balm (strong Andean sun).
  • Electronics: Power adapter Type C / Type I, 220V/50Hz; local eSIM/SIM optional.
  • Safety: Avalanche kit (beacon, shovel, probe) & touring gear/skins for off-piste days.
